There'll be a lot of bearing replacements and such I suppose. They'll all have to be looked at and it might prove easier just to replace all such components, thereby renewing it mechanically. It's those moving parts that need to be up to snuff for safety and inspections.
Hopefully the electrical end is in good shape. Aside from the motors and stuff, if there's a lot of decorative lighting and such, that'll all need to be gone over, too.
Electrical supply companies may be willing to donate lamps and such if other parts are sourced through them. Always worth looking into.
Not that surfaces and paint aren't important. That's all time consuming and expense-generating, too.
