The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

As far as I know the ride was acquired by this campaign a few years ago now and should be in storage somewhere, hopefully awaiting a spot in the new Dreamland, along with its junior ex-Blackpool Pleasure Beach sister.
Last time I went to the "Beach" a few years back I only really saw the former Whip building as it was somewhat hidden from public view I seem to recall, no doubt awaiting its final fate.

The whip building itself is still there, just modified slightly as it now houses the new dodgems there.

The Whip is in storage and is one of the rides earmarked for Phase 1 of Dreamland along with its smaller sister.
