It's a wonderful place. I was a little bit involved in the saving of it (behind the scenes) and wish him well!

Dreamland's loss of course... but Dumfries House, its collection of important furniture, and Knockroon (enabling development) is an amazing challenge and an opportunity to regenerate an area in dire need.

I does rather invite the question as to why he has left the Dreamland project.

Jonathan had been offered an exciting new opportunity in Scotland. This coincided with him coming to the end of his contract and the Dreamland project coming to the end of its 'development phase' (as the funders call it). If we are successful in our Stage 2 Heritage Lottery bid, Dreamland will enter its 'implemenatation phase' later this year, which will bring with it a new team with experience of building and operating amusement parks.

We were very sorry to see Jonathan go, as he made a huge contribution to this project. He remains a friend of the project and indeed is still helping us with the current heritage lottery bid.

In my opinion, the only person who would have a clue as to how to move the Dreamland project forward is Dave Collard, I would respectfully suggest that the Trust asks him for a little more of his input rather than ignoring it simply on the grounds that he also knows how to get his hands dirty.
