The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

nick slightly confused as why you can work on the site ie. cinema while it still has a compulory purchase order on the site.Agree its great news about the whole site possibly allowing a profitable park to reinvest and rescue other rides around the world

The cinema works are being carried out under an urgent works notice, which entitles the council to enter the site and carry out the necessary works.

Yes, we are in the process of organising that. It is taking our project managers longer than anticipated because there are so feww people/companies around that can do that specialist work. But this work is on its way.
