Queen of Shops in Margate

Hi all

I know this isn't exactly Dreamland related (but then again I think a good retail mix would complement Dreamland as it always used to). Meridian Tonight news featured Mary Portas' visit to the seaside town to share her High Street future propositions. I did hear on the national radio news yesterday, however, that she would even recommend placing some residential units into ex-shops as she thought some towns might never be able to reverse their retail fortunes.

Here's the link; http://www.itv.com/meridian-east/

Let the debate continue!

Martin

PS I also saw that Margate's Museum is currently hosting a seaside social exhibition featuring the Mods and Rockers period; have they stolen a march on our proposed former cinema building exhibit?
