Waltzer, anyone?

Waltzer, anyone?

On ebay at the moment and with three days still to run, there is a Jackson Waltzer.

There ought to be one at Dreamland, a waltzer is the quintessential British fairground ride. This one has an ADIPS Certificate until August 2012, and although the paintwork is truly awful, it could be airbrushed back to beauty with some traditional fairground artwork.

Here's the link. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fairground-Ri ... 839wt_1344

What do we all think?

Found this,

Waltzer W109
Notes Until recently this remained a very special machine - a rarity tucked away at a remote Irish park. The ride was carefully packed away at the close of each short season, and so remained almost original to its Jackson beginnings. It also never featured any music. Recent years have seen a repaint of the machine in an attempt to preserve the original style. It was set for a move to the UK mainland after the 2009 season and opened briefly for a winter event with new owner Kurt Hill.

Cool. We have them here as Tilt-A-Whirl.
They're way fun.

Span!? I guess it did! Giggled up your vowels.
Spun.

I think the Tild a Whirl cars are heavier and they are indeed tough to get going.
