Dreamland: Animated Films

Postby Gary » 27 Jan 2012, 20:41

"THE Heritage Lottery Fund has given a grant of more than £22,000 so a series of animated films can be made about the history of Dreamland in Margate.

The Re-animating Dreamland project will be produced by the Whitstable-based social enterprise Animate & Create. It will choose young people from Hartsdown School to make the film.

The project is also being backed by the Dreamland Trust. It will chart the amusement park’s history back to the nineteenth century.

The animated shorts will be premiered at the Carlton Cinema in Westgate in the winter."
