Runaway Coaster

Hi there,

Is there any news on what's happening to the Runaway Coaster yet? It would be such a shame if an established park coldn't buy this rare gem.

I read ages ago a few people were looking at buying, but hows about the big players? Alton may not be able to get their woodie, but they could fit this in one of their permitted development areas (ok, not a patch I know, but still something to boast about), or as I've said MANY times before, Pleasureland could fit this in somewhere, surely?

We went down to Folkstone for the bank holiday to visit my Uncle. As we already know the Magic Mouse and Ali Baba have now been removed, as have the Mine Train kiddie coaster, the go kart track, the jumping Star type things and the safari train. I won't say much about the rest of the park until I've added my photos to my website (unfortunatly that won't be for a couple of weeks beause I've got various shool exams!). The arcades and minuture golf are currently open. In fact much to my surprise the minuture golf had about 20 customers. Not bad considering the weather.

I can't really comment about the condition of the Runaway coaster as I'm not an expert. A lot of the paint was peeling off but I couldn't see much sign of actual rotting accept for near the basses of some of the supports. It's a real shame that the parks got to close but it would be devastating to see the Runaway coaster go. Maybe somewhere like Holycomb could buy it, but then I guess their main interesst is in steam.

The photos are now online along with a short decription of the changes. Again my key board doesn't seem to be working properly so I apprechiate that the spelling does seem a little bad.
