As this is so very near Dreamland, whatever happens to it will have an effect on Dreamland.

The Dreamland Trust has objected to the Tesco plans, as they WILL have a detrimental effect on the new Dreamland.

Went past it this morning there is not one shop open either under the flats or along the sea front.

SHOPPING guru Mary Portas reiterated her objection to Tesco's plans for a seafront supermarket at Arlington House when in Margate this week for filming.

She also said: "The latest news about Dreamland is fantastic for Margate. That is why so many people used to come here. We need Dreamland back and definitely not a big Tesco on the seafront. I will speak to Eric Pickles, the Secretary for Local Government."

Miss Portas has led a two-year Government-backed investigation into the state of Britain's high streets.

There's an appeal for help with funding to fight the Tesco application.

Remember, the Dreamland Trust has objected to this application. Tesco would certainly would have a VERY negative impact on the Dreamland proposals.

The inquiry has begun, and Mary Portas has joined in the objections to Tesco.

The Tesco application has been called in for determination by the Secretary of State!

Dreamland Trust is of course an objector to the Tesco application.
