Dreamland to Open in 2004

The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Hi all,

Finally back from Philadelphia. Just trying to catch up on the current news with the dreaded jetlag. Ironically, the Dreamland opening weekend coincides with the European Coaster Club's White Knuckle Blackpool Weekend, although I'll be working that weekend anyway, so won't be able to attend that.

I'm on a 3.15 pm finish next Saturday so may be able to pop over to Margate. Any one else going down? (and what time will the park be closing?)

Hope to see some old friends again soon.

Martin

PS I agree with Vince's comments re the Scenic operation but we can only hope for the best in the current climate I guess. Hopefully Dave may get some input,
