According to this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/3796807.stm Dave Wallis (or Wallace, as the BBC spell it) is now the owner of Dreamland.

Is this right?

I have repeatedly re-read this BBC News page as I am sure I must have misunderstood something.


However, I have cut `n copied the following, and while it is snipped, it is completely unedited. The page from which I obtained it is in the message above.



" The owner of Dreamland theme park in Margate has announced the attraction will reopen for three months.


But owner, David Wallace, who took over the famous attraction last summer, has said he will open the park for three more months from 3 July.

Some of the rides have been removed by the former owner but among those up and running will be the Scenic Railway.


The former owner of Dreamland, Jimmy Godden, announced last year he was to close the park with a view to selling the site"

Yes, Mr Godden does still own dreamland and is letting the ground and remaining rides to Dave Wallis for the summer this year.

Oh, the number of times I have explained and re-explained this to the press! Anyone would think the concept of an owner leasing out some land is ground breaking.

You can be assured Vince that when Mr Godden no longer owns Dreamland it will be announced on site. In big letters. And a bold font. Possibly underlined.
