Doubt anything will happen. I can't see them giving up unless they are given their 16-18 million. Personally as much as I want to, I wouldn't hold my breathe just yet.
I presume the council have got a plan for acquiring the estate? If they couldn't afford to buy the land in the first place, the CPO would have been pointless.

I see little in there that sounds anything like giving up graciously. Just insinuations that the council can't afford the site.

Let's wait and see what value is given to the site first.

It would have been pointless to start the process if the council didn't have the funds and it would be up to an independent valuation not them as to what it's worth.

What I am guessing is that they cannot lodge another appeal and are trying to save face by making it seem that they are graciously complying. I am not the only person who thinks this either.

I guess if MTCRC say its worth 12 to 16 million its true value would only be about 8 million.Would that value be without the Cinema building as its no longer theirs to sell?
