"If we can't have it, you can't have it either!" <Stamps foot>

Is this the way that MTCRC demonstrate their desire to help Margate be more attractive to tourists? Thank goodness for the CPO!

When have MTCRC ever cared about Margate, its only ever been about greed. As always when things dont go their way they play these silly games.

I had to smile at this. So they are closing the main carpark most tourists use in a sort of 'toddler tantrum stance', meaning many visitors will be deterred. Don't the Goddens own most of the arcades along the seafront? When the tourists have no where to park and go elsewhere they won't be spending money in their arcades - genius! Haven't thought that one through very well have they

The car park was hardly fit for purpose anyway. Kids falling down drains, shifty characters in there 4x4s up to no good. The site is much better off closed until the owners hand over ther keys. Im sure the council will make some arrangements for car parking else where for the time being.

The irony is that the beach at Margate was rammed full today, and cars were queuing half-way down the Thanet Way to get down to the seaside. If Dreamland had been open for business it would have taken a fortune.

You have to love the pettiness of it all. What a bunch of babies.

Dreamland car park shut again, has a sign on saying locked from the 30thAugust . It did look like it had been swept though.

Well it's probably not their property any more, so they can't be parking cars on it.
