They mention compensation claims yet don't they already owe the council a hefty sum of money?
The urgent repair works to the cinema building
The missing ride items that were probably scrapped.
The court costs the judge ordered them to pay.
Forgive me if these have already been paid off but they had a duty to maintain their land, they didn't and it seems they are getting away with it as well as now seeking compensation.

It's the people of Kent that need compensation Godden and Hunter have wrecked Folkstone ,Ramsgate and Margate. Anything that got in their way caught fire . It's great news that after a ten year fight we finally get Dreamland back.

Within 10 years, Margate will easily be rivalling the likes of Bournemouth/Brighton.
Looking forward to my first ride on the Scenic railway in 9 years

Having read the full judgement, it is clear that we are very lucky to have Nick leading the charge for the Heritage Amusement Park. The processes undertaken by the Save Dreamland team under his leadership were shown to be robust, and allowed the judges to deflect any claim that the plans were not viable. The fact that there are grants worth millions of pounds waiting for the project was another key to the win, with the awards only being made after close scrutiny of the plans for the project.
It was also very interesting to finally see the details of the opposition to the HAP and the reasons for the appeals.
OK Nick and co - when can we start volunteering????

Excellent news. Didn't think they stood a chance, but at least it's now all over.
