Wonderful news.
Hopefully, this is the final nail in the coffin of any attempt to stop the Heritage Park commencing.
If this is truly the end of the Save Dreamland Campaign, then enormous credit goes to Nick Laister - without him, the site would be have been turned into a car park and houses around 2005.
There is still much to do, but I think it is finally safe to rejoice and banish the ghosts of Toby Hunter and Jimmy Godden forever. The strange thing is that in the ten years or so since the campaign started, I really don't think there has been a better time for it to be built, with The Turner and The Old Town receiving so much publicity. Maybe it was meant to be......
I have counted enough chickens in the past to start my own KFC franchise so I won't celebrate just yet, but it seem like we have finally made it.
