The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Although work started some months ago on the mechanical parts of the Scenic Railway at various places around the UK, I am pleased to say that work on the structure will be starting on Monday:

I'm so pleased that work has begun on restoring this great ride. I rode the Roller Coaster at Great Yarmouth a few weeks back and it reminded me how good the Scenic was. Look forward to opening day
