Very sad to hear that the actor and longtime Dreamland supporter, Roger Lloyd Pack, passed away today aged 69.
This is a direct quote from him in 2003:
"I support the campaign to save Dreamland unequivocally. An amusement park is far more important to Margate than another development or hotel. The needs of Margate should be respected more than filling the pockets of a greedy developer."
RIP Roger. Great character actor and no exaggeration to say that he was a national treasure.

As a trbute to Roger, I have just watched the DVD of (Jolly Boys Outing). Still as fresh and funny as the day it was made. Wonderful shots of Dreamland. Roger would have been proud to see this much loved amusement park re open again. RIP Roger.
