Hi there,
I've been out of the country for the last three weeks, so may have missed some news here (being in a Florida near-news vacuum). I was just intrigued to know the source of this news - local press or TV etc. Yes, great news if this is correct.
I'm quite sure there is room elsewhere in Margate if one is really desired (I thought the town already had one somewhere anyway; I know Ramsgate had one). Perhaps someone can fill me in here. I know the government seems very keen to open a whole chain of such establishments anywhere they can it would appear. I'm sure that profit can hardly be any motive here, being the cynic I am. However, some resorts, like Blackpool, could possibly be complemented by such gambling complexes. A controversial issue I'm sure, which will probably be discussed for some time. But then, bingo halls were denounced by the Church in their infancy I believe.

As much as it pains me to say, i feel the site will be used for some leisure and residential redevelopment....
I just cant see this lousy council of ours doing anything tohelp, bugger the fact that a good little amusement park will pull in the crowds (as demonstrated this year when i took my nephew to Dreamland and there were coachloads of people just sitting in the dirt doing nothing)
I mean look how they have gone on about the football club redevelopment, something that will benefit the area...
It seems they dont want that to happen
If only i had £50 million odd to spend
Id shake that baby up..get it back to how it should be, there is so much potential for rides..i mean at the moment plces like Thorpe Park arent huge, many of the rides are in close prozimity to each other
Such a wasted opportunity
Think of the visitors from london, from Europe...its ideal
