Turner Centre Turn-off?
Hello all,
Just seen the end of the local BBC news item re the Turner Centre "Obelisk" test. As I only caught the end of the story all I heard was that this part of the structure was installed for test conditions to see how it faired in the extreme weather conditions. Apparently it came adrift and fell into the sea. If I am correct here, I thought it looked rather amusing to see people photographing the section that could be seen bobbing above sea level.
I'd be interested to hear what actually happened here. Some local people were heard citing their withheld concerns for this structure's location, however the main structure was said to have no problems within the building project. Guess we'll all just have to stay turned on here (sorry for the pun, but as you can guess this project hardly fills me with any passions).
