Well just been searching the net and found some good sites for photos of Dreamland so check them out

Plus by the sounds of it Dreamland has played in a big part of Margate Football Clubs history as well by letting them have there ground there (or so i read)

After being a little nomadic in their early seasons Margate FC settled down on land, part of the Dreamland site, for quite a few years before moving to Hartsdown Park their current home. They moved out about the time Dreamland became an Amusement Park in the form we know, complete with the Scenic Railway.

I just heard last Friday on BBC Radio Kent that Margate FC have gone into administration. I do not know the full story or consequencies of this action; apparently a spokesman said they had to do this to enable the club to get them through the off-season or something. Things didn't sound too good to me here though.

I'm no football fan but I feel that a club with such a long history would be a big loss to any town.

ya been to there site and it says

Margate Football Club has today filed with the Courts to enter into Administration. Administrators have been appointed and negotiations for a Company Voluntary Agreement will take place over the next two months.

This move has been made in order to protect the company from its creditors, with whom the Club have been unable to reach formal repayment plans. This will also protect the investment being made by our Development Partners in relation to the redevelopment project.

The Club would like to stress that, whilst it would have liked to avoid taking this course of action, it in no way effects our return to Hartsdown Park for the forthcoming Season and we look forward to facing the challenges which lay ahead.

Up the Gate!

hmmm shame don't like to see any team go thru that. Plus nice photos of margate and some nice pictures of Dreamland back in the old days :wink:
