To all members, spread the word...it is now FREE entry to Dreamland, you can buy tokens as before, this must certainly help the operators, the item has been reported in the Isle of Thanet Gazette.

That is good news Mick, but one point I would like to make is where are these new rides that were allegedly coming in? seems to be more and more rides leaving but nothing other than a few juveniles coming in. If the park remains like this then no one will pay much intrest in visiting or is this just another way or trying to prove the park is not financially viable? One other thing that keeps being mentioned is that the local council do not own the Dreamland site therefore can do nothing about its current state? the facts are that Thanet Council may not own the site but are the ones who decide what can or cannot go on the site regarding planning permission, If the council state as it was before that the Dreamland site must remain as an amusement park instead of "mixed use" then Mr Godden would not be holding out for development value for it. So the council can help in many ways but for some reason havent done so.

If you could give us some answers that would be great Mick.

I noticed today Tuesday that the tall ride that rotates, not the Mega Drop, is being dismantled.
As mentioned before I will keep you informed when positive news comes from the Thanet District Council, part of the 'new' Thanet plan is expected soon in draft form.

More rides are being dismantled than being brought to the park does anybody know of the new rides or anything thats happening with the park because it seems they might be closing it all early with no rides no ones going to go there and with no customers their not going to do very well with people trying to keep the park open, something needs to be sorted out and fast.

If anyone has any pictures of what is currently happening can you post them please thanks.

There is very little left there, not a good sign considering ita August.

Plenty of rides going but no sign of these rides that micktee said were arriving shortly weeks ago.. Hot air I suspect I don't think there will be any.

I get the impression from Member 'Bob' and his comments, once again, about Dreamland seem to be very negative.. Yes I did say that I understood that other rides would be arriving on site..and the possibilty of a circus during the main summer season.. this I was told by, and Nick was informed about many months ago, again remember I, or the members of the 'Save the Dreamland Campaign' cannot dictate what happens on the Dreamland Site, it is NOT owned by the council and you are fully aware leased at present to Mr. Harry Ayes who is running the park as he wants ..you and I, and others cannot alter that!

Not negative but stating the Real facts. You stated a circu & more rides were due to arrive. that was incorrect.

Any new, news about anything that is going on down at dreamland as i live about 25 miles away its not as if i could go down there everyday but when i get the chance i do and also i am moving closer to margate which brings me closer to dreamland anything happening has the circus arrived yet and have any new rides come on site yet i really hope something happens and soon

How many times do we have to point out that the park is privately owned and run? Unless the people running the park tell you personally about something, everyone here is passing on what they have been told.

Mick was told about changes, and he passed it on. Take your choice, listen and see what happens or don't listen. But don't blame Mick if the infomation is wrong or changes afterwards.

Mick is part of the campaign and he has some input to the council, so he is one of our best chances of having the change of use rejected. It really confuses me that people who are supposed to be supporters are willing to knock one of the main supporters!

The real facts (that Bob says he is quoting) are that none of us have direct control of the park and therefore are not accountable for what goes on there!
