Ok i was looking around the tourism website and noticed that there was not one meantion about Dreamland on it (http://www.tourism.thanet.gov.uk). So I've emailed them about it and this is the first responce I got:

Dear Mr Collins

Thank you for your email regarding Dreamland information.

Your email has been forwarded to our Senior Tourism Officer who will
reply in due course.

We are aware that people will be requiring information with regard to
Dreamland and are looking at putting this on our website as soon as we
have the correct information available.

Will keep you all updated about what they are going to do about it

Sounds about right they will check it out and by the time it is printed the season will have ended.

I note that members have stated that Thanet Council have not got any information on Dreamland being open.
I made sure when the new town leaflets were being produced that Dreamland was featured, a picture of the 'Top Buzz' at night has been featured in this brochure and the opening times of Dreamland with a telephone number.
Since this publication Thanet District Council press office and others have tried to get further information on the rides, prices etc Harry Ayes has NOT been willing to give any information to anybody, that is why sadly DREAMLAND is not mentioned on the council's tourism web-site.

This reinforces the fact that Harry Ayres appears reluctant to make Dreamland reach its full potential for some reason.

On this topic, I went for a group job interview yesterday and decided to use the Save Dreamland Campaign as my subject for my "I believe in..." (preserving historic amusement parks and attractions) nerve racking speech to the group. (The idea was for the rest of the group to challenge the person's viewpoint).

The lack of Thanet Council promotional material probably explains why quite a few of the younger people there had never heard about the Scenic Railway, yet alone the existance of the Dreamland Park. Hopefully I had educated them somewhat and maybe they'll be enticed to pay the park a visit. It's rather sad to hear this though, although for me very unsurprising in the current climate.

Ya i see what you mean but somehow I would of thought even if the park ain't up to scratch that it should still be advertised since it still brings in alot of visitors. Surpose 1 drawback is that thanet gov would hav 2 keep updating the website since the opening times and entry system keeps changing (plus it's still only on a 2 year loan).

I doubt that in its current run down state it will be much of a draw.
For it to be come an attraction it needs real money spent on it to bring it up to a minimum standard to attract people. At prent its a run down fairground site and looks pretty seedy.

People expect more nowadays and will not be tempted by the current dump that deamland is.

Dear Ian,
Many thanks for taking the time to e-mail us with your comments. We
would certainly agree that it would be worthwhile having details on
Dreamland on our tourism website. We have as a department struggle to
get any information this year, several attempts have been made but with
very little response on the behalf of Dreamland.

In addition, we have also had reports about the open hours not being
adhered to. We will endeavour to put the details back up on the site
once we have received confirmation back from Dreamland.

I do hope you understand and if we can help any further please do get
back in contact with us.
