Final End of Season Campaign Event?

Postby porterm » 18 Aug 2005, 23:22

Hello all,

Just wondered if there is to be any final 2005 end of season get-together for Campaign members. I know the park has been operated differently this year, especially with the Scenic anyway. I just thought it would be nice to meet up with everyone again before the fast-approaching, unbelievably, end of season. Suppose it would be too much to have another Scenic Event.

I'm luckily off work on the September 3-4 weekend (I believe the park's final weekend this year).

Martin

PS Only got to visit the park once so far this year so I need an excuse.

Hi Vince & co,

I'd probably like to close-out the season on the Sunday. (Also I believe I can frequent Maidstone Beer Festival the day before!)

Hope to see you down at the park on Sunday.

OK, since someone has to set the ball rolling, let's say......

"The last bash of the season takes place on Sunday, 4th September at 4pm, meet by the Scenic Railway"

Does that sound OK?

Hello all,

Yes, sounds like a good idea Vince.

Dave, sorry to hear you can't attend. Maybe we can arrange a jar or two at Yates or somewhere after the park.

Martin

PS Just hope nothing else conflicts with this plan for me.

Great news Alan,

Hopefully we can get to emulate the old Fools and Horses Jolly Day Out and stop off at that old pub on the M2 (called The Roman Galleon I think).

Please let me know if you can make it and we could maybe go in one car.
