Dreamland last sat

I visited dreamland with my 3 children on saturday as i was on holiday in Ramsgate, and i was devestated at the changes since i last visited when godden owned the site. Speaking to some of the operators i learned it was a travelling fair, and that they were due to pack up that day. Most of the operators had said that they were self employed and that they exchanged there tokens for a cash value and that is how they made their income but also had to pay harry a pitch fee. One particular ride operator said that in one week he only made £50 profit, and that most of the ride owners have said they do not wish to return next year.
It cost me the best part of £40 to have a couple of rides each, and was put off by children as young as 8 year old operating some of the rides in particular top buzz. I had to listen to his constant repetative waffle over the microphone and found it very off putting. I also found several health and safety issues by where certain rides had no barriers on them, and some of the operators riding some of the rides without seatbelts. I have a young 2 year old who i could not let walk around in fear of running in front of a ride etc.
Also the whole area has now been vastly reduced, and for anybody wishing to take over the site with permanant rides in place have indeed very little space to do this.

Absolutely disgraceful but not suprising from harry ayers, never ceases to amaze me. what a terrible image that is giving not only the park but also travelling fairs- this is not what they are all like at all. disgusted to hear about an 8 year old operating the top buzz- one of the most advanced and powerful amusement machines available- an absolute H&S nightmare- imagine if something did go wrong- do you think this kid would know safety drills and evacuation procedures- i think not!

its a shambles- wasnt like that even when david wallis operated the park was it? i really hope he doesnt return next year- hes giving the place a real image problem.
