I think a lot of the answer will depend on the Inspectors Report in October. It will either be a green light for a tourist attraction, or ditto for retail development (Boo).

I would think that next year depends on the future.

So it's a waiting game.

Further to the postings-Dreamland next year, in our Local paper this week a small column about this year has not been a good season at Dreamland, but George who I believe is one of Harry Ayes business collegues said they could be back next year

Regarding the future-log in to the Thanet Council Web Page, and go to the Local Plan, look at the regeneration section and look at the Government Inspectors report on the Dreamland Site it's good news

Mick,

There are quite a few versions of the plan on the site, can you convert it into 'plain English' for us.

I believe you know I am a elected member of Thanet District Council, and this campaign has my full support.
The local plan 3 years ago supported the closure of Dreamland and at that time was supported by the group who were in control of TDC.
But now with evidence from thhe' Save the Dreamland Campaign' and others members of the public, including me, plus the Government Inspector, you will see very shortly the plans for Dreamland and Margate Seafront, they are great! but please be patient, as a councillor things do not happen overnight. I ask you all to be positive about Margate's Future.

Mayor of Margate

This is good and hopeful news, the only way to be is to think positive. MArgate really needs a shot in the arm, and a presentable sea front.

The Arlington Arcade also, what a wasteland, such a shame.

Hello Mick,

I check the board most days, and am well aware and pleased that we have your support. As vice chairman of a hospital radio service, I have had a little exposure to the sort of slow movement you are describing. For people that don't know what it's like trying to interact with the hospital, I usually say it's "like trying to steer a dinosaur by the tail".

My post was a follow on to yours, where you suggested there was something good to read, and as I don't look at this sort of document very often, found it confusing, so thought I would ask if you could summarise for us.

I can guess from the tone of your messages that you just want to burst with good news, and buy everyone a drink?

I look forward to a trip to Margate where I want to come, rather than visit to support the campaign, which is obviously worthwhile, but if I want to come, others will too!

Vince.
