Tracey Emin on BBC London
Slightly off topic, but I thought people might be interested that local Campaign supporter Tracey Emin was interviewed on BBC London (radio) from 12 noon to 1pm today. She made several references to her days in Margate, naturally, and to Dreamland.
I believe she now lives in London but said she had recently bought a flat in Margate. She commented how much she enjoyed going on the London Eye (16 times now I believe she said!) She then mentioned that two years before the Eye was built Dreamland made the tragic decision to get rid of what was their iconic landmark, the then largest big wheel in Europe.
It was an interesting interview, what bits I managed to hear in between my one hour working gap today. It could possibly be available for anyone interested on the BBC's local radio website (possibly bbc.co.uk/london).
Martin
PS If anyone's interested she's due to do a book signing at Waterstones on London's Oxford Street this Friday at 5.30pm.
