Margate is not Blackpool by any stretch of the imagination.
Well I have to take my hat of to you Bob, your geography is really coming along nicely.
Blackpool does still attract large numbers but those numbers are declining year on year and it mainly caters for an older clientel.
Aren'y you mixing up Bournemouth and Blackpool? ...and even Bournemouth attracts quite a few families still (look at the beach).
It has tried to boost numbers by catering for Pub crawls
Well you can go on a pub crawl anywhere in Britain so that's hardly a niche market, whereas an amusement park is something a little more special.
Theme parks in good locations
Well this develeopment company won't want you saying that. I think the official line is "Margate is too good for an old style amusement park"

"Margate is CR.AP so it doesn't deserve something decent like an amusement park
