Does anyone know if Dreamland will be open for the 2006 season? Hopefully it will be a bit better than the 2005 season, the site was an absolute dump!

Hi,

Nothing is yet clear as to the plans for this year. The company that own the park have advertised pitches for ride operators to take up, but we will not know for sure until a public announcement.

There is one person on the forum that claims he speaks for the company, but as he will not say who he is, his words cannot be taken too seriously.

Vince.

I see there are some trailers at the backend of the park but things are moving very slowly, i'm sure things moved a little more quickly last year

He is simply another waste of space, somebody who is determined to run dreamland into the ground.

Funny that we have to on here failing to achieve the same thing :x

Strange you should make these assumptions about me i thought i was simply providing usefull information on what i have seen happening in dreamland. I would like to see dreamland running as it was when i moved to margate but unfortunately i cant see this happening but all the same i have my fingers crossed and will follow the campaigns progress.

AgentBobsReplacement :

I suspect the reaction is more to your user name than to the useful information you've posted.

With a name like that you will tend to find you get associated with the idiots that posted garbage to the board under similar names.

Good idea about a better username, filling in some details on your profile is a good way of gaining respect too.

Yes, thanks for the update agentbobsreplacement. It's interessting to get updates like that, but recently people with similar names were rather rude to members of the campaign.

I doubt the trailors have anything to do with this fun fair they're setting up as travelling rides can be set up fairly quickly and I doubt it would be economical to leave rides sitting around for ages when they could be touring the fair circuit making money. I'd have thought if the showman haven't been contacted yet it's getting very last minute as surlely by now they'll have other bookings. Once they've paid for a site the could loose money if they then decide to go to Dreamland instead. Then again it could be to do with the fair if things are going on behind the scenes, who knows?

Nevertheless if trailors have been parked on the site there must be some reason. Let's hope they won't give us another big 'fency' to get worked up about. It could get rather tiring if they keep erecting structures without planning permission we then have to object to.
