Wheely good

THRILL-seekers could soon be flocking back to Dreamland for the summer season with the return of a big wheel. Adverts for a wheel have been placed in trade magazines. Operator George Webb will run the park this year and hopes to have rides running for Easter.

Well, I am pleasantly surprised that George Webb is back to run
the park this year. He obviously does not share the same views as Harry Ayers. Surely this must be a positive sign that travelling operators such as Dave Wallis and George Webb choose to come back to Dreamland.

I hope that the search for a decent big wheel goes well. I was initially very sceptical about the attempts to secure one and I am still not totally convinced they will get one. According to info on the internet, George Webb still owns the G-Force (Booster ride) and some Dodgems, both of which were at Dreamland last year I believe. I expect these will make up 2 of the 10 ride pitches that were advertised for in Worlds Fair.

Who actually installed this advertisement in the paper.

It would be interesting to know.
