...and just so it's clear...
"In August a report by Duff & Phelps revealed the firm owed £8.3 million to creditors with a deficit of £14 million."
Nowhere does it state all this is due to Dreamland.

Again you have not a clue about UK administration. The debt of £14M is owed by Sands Heritage of which they trade under the "Dreamland" name

Reminder to everybody:

The Dreamland Trust is holding an open meeting to discuss the future direction of the Dreamland Trust. It will be at the Winter Gardens on 18th of October at 7pm. All welcome. Please share.
This meeting is about the Future of The Dreamland Trust moving forward.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the Trust team, including former chair and co-founder Nick Laister and new chair Bernie Morgan. But most importantly, this is an opportunity to discuss what you would like to see the Dreamland Trust focusing on in the coming months and years.

Ian Driver has posted a video of the meeting to YouTube

It's about an hour and a half long so I've yet to watch more than Nick's intro, but may be of interest to others that couldn't attend.

Well I've just had the longest bath ever watching that video of that meeting. The chair is a shockingly rude woman and to be honest I still don't think she really took on what people were saying.

I have tried to establish what the trusts role is but got no real answer. AS far as I can see the trust had no real function once Dreamland was taken on by a commercial operator. They talk of holding them to account but they as far as I know are not directors or shareholders so they have no powers to hold them to account. They also talked of acting as a watchdog. Well they can call themselves a watchdog but they have no powers . The trust in my view should be wound up it serves no useful purpose at all. The fact that they have been doing nothing indicates they have no function even their Web site is about 2 years old other than the odd minor update

It seems I am not the only one unimpressed with the Dreamland trust/ It raises many of the issues I identified
