29th April 2006 - The first Save Dreamland disco

Postby Hairy Vince » 04 Apr 2006, 12:48

Hello All,

Think there is a membership mailing going out soon about this....but just an update so everyone knows what is going on!

Dreamland Disco, £2.50 donation for entry, Saturday 29th April, RAFA Club, Dock Road, Chatham. It is about a 5 minute walk from Chatham Train Station.

You have the pleasure of "Hairy Discos" entertaining everyone there.

There is also going to be a raffle going on, if anyone wants to donate a prize if they can Private Message me that would be great. We have had some great donations already. Obviously the greater the raffle prizes, the more we can raise.

This will also be an opportunity to:

1)Purchase some of Nick E's great books
2)Purchase some Dreamland related stuff
3)Meet fellow campaigners
4)Eat from the FREE buffet
5)Drink from the cheap bar
6)Dance like a crazy fool!!!

Hope this answers everyones questions, but feel free to ask any other questions....or stick in any requests

I hope to see as many of you as possible there!!

29th April = Be there or be Bob

The fun starts at 7pm. If you want to arrive earlier there's a very servicable pub opposite, although I can't remember its name... the karaoke I witnessed there was so mind boggling that it's wiped all else from my memory.

Oooh! Was a club DJ for 10 years. I'd love to come. It's a bit far, though.... :-(

You spinning Vince?
Mix by beat, or a wedding DJ?
If you want to dedicate one to me, the Ultimix of Kylie's "Love at First Site" (I can e-mail it to you).
Now I may have to go bid.

Vince, e-mail me so I can e-mail you the file.

However, if you were going to spin a Kylie tune to me anyway, and I win, I may have to choose another.
I suggest if anyone doesn't want to hear "Don't Leave Me This Way" by the Communards, they put in a bid.

Put my bid in and was aiming for either "Remember You're A Womble" or "You've Got The Love" by The Source featuring Candi Staton.

.

But .... Someone is really determined to get the Birdie Song played
