The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

I leafleted around 200 people today about the disco. Lots of positive comments, including several "is it still open" type comments and lots of "i used to go there as a child" type stuff.
Very friendly crowd.
Also dropped some leaflets and posters at the Chatham Record Fair (big thanks in particular to the Recollect peeps). someone there said they had read about the disco in the local paper.
All in all a good sunday...now off for some delicious mum made sunday roast!!!

Steam and Transport Rally takes place at Chatham Dockyard (around 10 minute walk from RAFA Club) so thought I would get out there and spread the word. Even if just one or two extra people come to the disco, it really raises the profile of the campaign.
Dave D should have been leafleting today, so will hopefully have an update (although I cannot contact him due to him having his phone pinched!!)
Sadly, I am not really a lover of Steam or Transport, although i fully respect those who are.
