It's good to see an official site, it needs work though.

A personal gripe of mine is the use of .com for non-international business, in it's current state it's hardly worth travelling 2 hours to Dreamland, so I can't see many people travelling from abroad.

I just hope that TDC are not going to accept a few funfair rides as a genuine test as to wether an amusement park is viable on the site.

Good to see the park will be opening, but no mention of the big wheel on there site or under the ride list, one would assume that they would use this as a feature to promote the site, so it can only mean one thing, that once it leaves in june it aint coming back otherwise it would be plasterd all over their website. Hate to say it though with a park of only 16 rides, our local travelling fair has just arrived which is run by thurstons, thay started setting up at the weekend to open from thursday. At a quick count today there were over 20 rides installed some of which are more thrilling than what dreamland curently has to offer, and with prices starting from 60 p for inflatables to 1.50 for thrill rides such as the sky master etc. Dont think that dreamlands inflatables will be 1 ride token at 50 p which means the minimum charge will be 1.00 at two tokens. And i certainly wont be paying 2.00 to 3.00 per ride when we have a family 0f 4 children and 2 adults, when we can get all inclusive wristbands at major parks with thrilling rides for less. Unless some more thrill can be put into dreamland sadly i will not be visiting during my 6 weeks stay in ramsgate during the summer half term.

If you read everywhere it says it's an non-official website and this is a big point since it has nothing to do with the owners of the site. This is just for reference to people who want to travel from far and get some information.

There has always been a disclaimer:

and of course at the bottom of all pages (even says it twice on the home page) "Please note this is an unofficial site and is not operated by, or affiliated to, the owners of Dreamland Fun Park.".

But I have now added "(Non-Official)" to the title of the page to make it looks even more "Non-Official".

I think there may be a bit of a .com / .co.uk confusion here!

The new one listed (.com) appears to be the official George Webb / Dreamland one.

Nice to see they have at least set something up this year.

Blimey are Thurston's still going? I remember going on their rides years ago when i lived in Luton, when they visited Lewsey Park,Stockwood Park and Wardown Park.
Anyway,getting to the point,from what i could see from the multi storey car park at the weekend most of the rides are 4 tokens each,including the scenic and the kiddie rides,so i don't blame you if you don't go on anything!!!!

Whilst I can see it MAY turn out to be expensive for the kiddies rides I don't think the suggested pricing for the larger rides is too bad.

Last year the Booster was probably one of the cheapest you could get on .. and compares very favourably with the £10 Brighton Pier currently charges.

£2 for the Scenic seems about right.

Wristbands would be nice, but TBH I don't think there's enough attractions there to justify them yet.

Yes thurstons have set up at the top of my road at stockwood park as it is the luton carnival on monday, and over the past few years thurstons has just got bigger and bigger.

This is great news, the first positive news I've heard about the park this year (well apart from Waterbridge being denied permission to demolish all those buildings). The flying Coaster looks like a bit of a let down, but a good selection nonetheless and hopefully this means that there might be advertising around London afterall. I don't think the pricing is that bad, although wistbands would certainly be good. I guess the main problemis that different rides are being run by differnet concessioners it would be hard to agree on something that wouldn't leave someone feeling cheated, also in terms of the ride count when it's pay per play people are unlikely to want that many rides anywhere.

Interestingly it mentions it being a 'drug free zone'. Are there 'illegal drug zones' in Margate?

Finally Rowbot I quite like your site and I don't see why there can't be more than one site. Yours still has things this one doesn't like a guest book, and many other parks have unofficial sites besides official ones.

Since my original post the big wheel has now been added to the list of attractions in the park making it now a grand total of 17.

i think it will be in the park when it returns after it's holiday - they have put everything else up one end leaving a space big enough for the big wheel and the booster (which is still to arrive)
