Beach huts!

The Great British Seaside Resort: sun, sand, piers, funfairs and donkey rides. But that is only part of the attraction. If you love being beside the seaside, talk about it here!

Came across a site devoted to these.

Sadly, these days many demand a second mortagge to buy, but they do add to the visual pleasures of traditional resorts.

I think this is something where they ought to be owned by the local councils and let out by the week. Many used to be owned by councils at a modest rent. Perhaps even some that could be let out by the day. Mind you most need considerable upgrading.
It could help revive the British seaside. They would say ideally need to have a small toilet & shower plus some basic cooking facilities

This gives an idea of the sort of standard that can be achieved in a small space.
