"Shabby Seasides?"

The Great British Seaside Resort: sun, sand, piers, funfairs and donkey rides. But that is only part of the attraction. If you love being beside the seaside, talk about it here!

Please pass through the turnstiles if you are riding again.

I would agree that most seaside towns are very shabby indeed. I dont agree with English Heratige though. Most seaside towns need to reinvent themselves the days of mass tourism to these areas has long gone. It is pointless to try to save them all as seaside resorts it just will not work. The best seaside resorts still survive they may need a bit of help but that all. Most resorts though need to find an alternative places such as Margate which is very dirty and run down. If will never compete aginst places such as Clacton.

Well, between you and EH, (a government funded body) I think I know who will have done their research, and whose views will be taken more note of nationally.

Have a nice day Bob!
