Hi

The main issue with arcades and both Pinball and Video games is cost to keep the games in tip top shape more so with pinball games than with video games, allthough now alot of these incorprtate moving parts the costs are much the same, along with the improvemnts in good home consoles mean that now the arcade owners have demoted the games side to be like a teaser to try and get the people through the door.

Once in you are then faced in most arcades with an array of grabbers and stacker type games, pushers, and fruit machines as all of thease are low maintiance thus low running cost devices, and thay make the owners lots of cash, as even the stacker/grabbers the so called skill games are percentage controled just like the fruit machines you will only win that teddy or the PS3 when the machine is ready to let you. All of this means the operatiors now have a much tigher control over there margins and there profits.
