Lifeboats
Posted: 16 Mar 2010, 21:56For me, one of the best things about the seaside is not the pier, not the sandy beach, not the donkeys, but the Lifeboat Station!
I really admire the courage of the crews! especially historically speaking - nice enough on a fine, calm summers' day to hop onto the modern boat and dash off to a rescue! Contrast that with setting off at night, in winter into the teeth of a gale and snowing! and you have to Row!!
I wonder if you can design a funfair ride to go with that image!
