South Shields

The Great British Seaside Resort: sun, sand, piers, funfairs and donkey rides. But that is only part of the attraction. If you love being beside the seaside, talk about it here!

South Shields

Driving through south shields on my way home tonight, just have to say even though its out of season, the place is really looking rather clean and tidy, a real merit to the council and businesses in the area. to think that its only ten miles if that from what used to be whitley bay...its like another world down on the seafront in comparison.

just goes to show there still is a place for seaside resorts, no matter what the council and local property tycoon may say! the difference is, south tyneside council realise they have a jewel in their crown and do their best to keep the crowds coming, whereas north tyneside is corrupt and go for the easy 'sell-out' option.
You can't beat that top buzz feeling!
