Seeking Helter Skelters in the North West

Postby Red » 19 Feb 2006, 15:59

Hello folks

I was hoping you may be able to help me. I'm looking for Helter Skelters in the North West region for part of a photo shoot.

I understand there is one in Blackpool, but there seems to be some dispute over which pier it is on. I'm also aware that there is one in Southport which is now out of use.

I'd be grateful if you could offer up any information on where to find one and links to photos of them if any are available.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Red,

Welcome to the forums.

2 seasons ago there was a helter skelter on the North Pier..It seems to have disappeared!

There may still be one on either the South or Central pier -

I love Helter Skelters -These things are a dying breed hence my article about Helter Skelters two threads down from this one.

Cheers!

Gary

There was one on South Pier last year. Don't know if it's still there now.

There is one at Pleasureland Southport but it is not operating.

The Southport Helter Skelter is no more despite the sign last year that stated it was staying.. :(

These things are disappearing around us as we type..
