Great Yarmouth Venetian Waterways and Boating Lake

The Great British Seaside Resort: sun, sand, piers, funfairs and donkey rides. But that is only part of the attraction. If you love being beside the seaside, talk about it here!

Great Yarmouth Venetian Waterways and Boating Lake

Great Yarmouth council along with the Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust are at the final stages of securing Lottery funding to restore the grade 2 listed 1920's Venetian Waterways and adjoining listed boated lake to its original splendor.
Check out the beautiful photos of these unique gardens (although Skegness have a similar waterway and still operate boat trips along it)

the restoration plans at:-

and if you have the time, please respond positively to the public consultation at:-

This is a real chance to see this fantastic attraction restored to its original glory and help maintain Great Yarmouth as one of the premier family seaside resorts in the country.

If anyone has seen the recently restored (with lottery funding) cliff gardens in Felixstowe, you will know what is possible in restoring these historic seaside gardens - they are glorious!

Come on guys, it's not all about Dreamland you know. Dreamland and the Scenic Railway have survived because of an immense amount of support from ALL over the country. How about some reciprocal support here!
