Pier Attacked
Posted: 01 Aug 2006, 11:16Southend Pier has suffred another setback after a number of galss panels were smashed by vandals late on Saturday/early Sunday morning the damage to the new pier entrance also saw decking being damaged.

However the council have applyed (to themselfs!) to re-build the pier head station
on a sad note the old concrete loading pier at Southend is currently being demolished as a structual servey showed that it was in a very poor condition, it had been disused since the earlt 1980's.
