I think your best bet would be to write to the Bembom brothers at Loundon Castle in Scotland.Im sure they would have old posters etc of their times in Margate.

Its worth a try anyways, what have you got to lose?!

Is there any way to insert an attachment (images) into post here. If there is, how do you do it and I will upload a Bembom Brothers leaflet in a post for you all to look at. Im trying clicking on the IMG button at the top, but its not letting me brouse to upload any images.

You need to use an external picture host, such as Photobucket (for which you register free - it gives quite a bit of ability to edit) or Photogalaxy which is less flexible but very simple to use.

Upload the image and then post either a link or cut and paste the 'forum BB code' here, and the pic should appear.

Have a play and if you have problems say and I'm sure we can come to your rescue! If you use the Preview button you can see what will appear on screen.

Would be good to see.

OK All

I think this has worked. There is one from Bembom Brothers, and one from Dreamland (1990 I think. When the video footage was filmed) They may be a bit muddled up in order, but here they are. Enjoy :D

Looking through I found a few bits and bobs. Around 10 Bembom Brothers Postcards and a Poncho with the original Looping Star on the back :D My mum said she still has my Bembom Brothers T-Shirt (blue with yellow writing) and my big Looping Star (original one) poster with Bembom Brothers across the top. Those were the days !! :)

Wow - I remember having a copy of that 1983 leaflet back in the day (sadly I don't think I ever kept it - but then I guess I would never have envisaged how the park would ever end up with an ownership change).

I believe this leaflet was circulated around the London area too at the time; I seem to remember it was at rail stations with their ticket tie-in deals, or maybe enclosed in the freesheet local newspapers.

One thing that made me curious though was the inclusion of the much-missed River Caves as I thought they had been destroyed around 1982. Also, I always thought that the wonderful Sphinx building was to the right of the former River caves, unless it's my mind playing tricks again.

Great memories anyhow - and it was quite surprising to see quite a low complement of rides at that time really, although what they had was pure quality for the era. I liked the covered walkways too.

I'll have to start rifling through some old photos and video footage to hunt out some possible gems for the upcoming Dream Coaster event.
