I am writing a thesis on Fairgrounds from 1945 to 1963. Does any one know the names of rides that newly emerged during this period?

here you go- meteorite 1958, jets 1952, flying coaster 1961, paratrooper(upright)1960, twist 1959, rotor 1950. -hope that helps a bit!

Does anyone know the fairground sound effects they are used often on rides are they software or pre recoded by the operator?

all the photo's that were at NFA sheffield of vintage machines plus more as well are now
on the forum called all the fun of the fair on the internet

on vintage machines like skid jets dodgems orbiter back in the day this was done
by ride operator on the microphone but nowadays it is a jingles machine eg it's number one
