The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Hi all,
I'm fairly gutted I won't really be able to make this play though as I'm quite literally being sent to Coventry courtesy of Jazz FM (some might say it's the best place for me!) Seriously though, the lure of Maceo Parker, and the like, tonight will probably get the better of me, plus I hate to waste a freebie.
If anyone does make it to the plays tonight I'd be interested to hear their reactions, particularly the last play about the Scenic Railway.

I went to the Theatre Royal to see the three plays. Don't think you missed a great deal. We were told each one was basically a beginning and an end but they all seemed to be complete in themselves. The first one played, the one which centred around the experiences of three or four people who had operated rides at Dreamland, was the least interesting. I hope it\'s not the one that gets the most votes!
