The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Hello all,
Just wondered how many of you are planning to attend this weekend's Big Event in Margate's Palm Bay area (including an air show and fairground etc)
I'm hoping to get down there some time tomorrow morning. It'd be great to try and meet up with a few other Campaign members.
Perhaps we could start (albeit a rather late) roll call.
Apparently this event has attracted thousands of people in the past so parking could pose a slight problem I suppose.

We'll be there from about 2pm, I'll wear my Save Dreamland T shirt so say hello if you see us.
Car parking £5 for the day and plenty of spaces, on the field opposite.

Was not able to get to Margate this weekend just wondering how it went today (Saturday), saw the Vampire headding that way as it went over Southend.
Weather looked tounch and go quite a few dark low clouds moving slowlt along the Estuary and a little bit of rain on the wind.
