Hello all
Maybe we're all just rushing (or rather sliding around in the current artic conditions). Was it really a whole year ago since last Christmas anyway? -like this whole decade, am I the only one who feels it has flashed past?
Oh well, they say time waits for no man (or woman). I wish everyone a very festive Merry Christmas anyway, and let's hope a more prosperous New Year.
Here's looking forward to some promising activities on the Dreamland site in the coming months. It would be great to have the park up and running by 2011 I reckon, mainly to offset the pending London Olympic hype the following year. Like Disneyland, I would expect the park to continually transform itself and new areas could be added on, as required after an intial, maybe "soft" opening.
Finally, Sarah, sorry I never made it to Santa's Grotto with my friends' children once again. This time the heavy snow has somewhat beaten us.

Have a Coaster Christmas! Well done on a great year folks. Haven’t used the forum much for a while as I’m busy with uni work (officially I’m not meant to be using coaster forums at all at the moment). May next year bring lots of screams of joy.
Thanks for running Joyland Books Nick. Makes Christmas lists that much easier. And I hope Santa’s grotto worked out well Sarah.

I hope everyone has a really good Christmas - and we on this forum have a lot to look forward to in the coming years I hope to be able to bring my recently-born grandson to Dreamland when he is old enough to appreciate it! Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to make this possible

Seriously folks, have a very Happy Christmas and New Year. Let's all hope it's going to be a good one. I realised yesterday that a spoonersim of Bah Humbug is in fact Ha Bum Hug! Cheeky eh?
BTW did anybody see the Jolly Boys Outing episode of Only Fools and Horses on GOLD Monday night? That particular special is now 20 years old! 18 million watched it first time around in 1989.
Apart from Dreamland itself looking splendid and Margate not bad either, it struck me how things like the Thanet Way have changed - the Roman Galley pub, used as the halfway house on the way, is no longer and nor is Broadstairs police station, used as the backdrop for Margate cop shop. These days of course it's the HQ of Thorley Taverns.
Does anybody know where the nightclub scenes were filmed please? - I'm guessing the BBC could have used somewhere in the area but just as easily not.
