Does anyone have any opinions on the letter in the latest issue of "Old Glory" magazine about the Scenic Railway in Dreamland?

Scenic Railway

It's about running a siding linking the Scenic with a proposed super-workshop in the main building so that the Scenic Railway rolling stock would be more likely to remain safe in the event of a future mishap on the main Scenic railway structure.

The original trains are gone.
It'll be a miracle of anything from them can be reused.

I like your thinking, though. It's not a bad idea.

The problem wasn't really location, it was lack of security*. The arsonists knew exactly what they were doing. The new storage, wherever it may be, will hopefully have video surveillance and a fire suppression system.

*The only ones who stood to gain from the destruction of the Railway were the land owners. It seems all too common in your country for zealous owners to simply burn down their structures to collect insurance or clear land for redevelopment.

Would the reference in the letter to "any further roller coasters imported into a future Dreamland" include the new pedal-powered coaster that was suggested last year?

The following is a suggestion of a possible contact that could be useful:-

Mr. Iain McCall
Hon. Secretary
Narrow Gauge Railway Society
4 Park Mews
Park Gate
SOUTHAMPTON
SO31 1EN

iain2metres@hotmail.com

Unfortunately, though, the NGRS seems on past experience to be an organisation with a policy of not replying to correspondence. However, if enough people contacted the NGRS, the organisation would have to reply. NGRS support would be useful in getting the Scenic up and running again.
