The Blackpool Coral Island Ghost Train

IS NO MORE!

If what I'm hearing through the barbed wire (grapevine) is true then it is a very sad day for true ghost train fans.

Thank you for the video link mention :D
In my other video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d54A-0 ... plpp_video
people are starting to post that it has closed and will be replaced by a casino ,I can't confirm this but I will be there in late June to have a look.
It's a sad day when any dark ride closes for all the staff at mesmoland as they are a firm favourite :(
Then why has it closed ? It must be upkeep and running costs outweighing profit,as we wouldn't expect any business to run at a loss for too long. Many times I have been in to coral Island and the ride has been closed, and lots of the ghosts were not working and the last time I rode it hardly any of the effects worked,so was it being run down then ? I think being at the back (I know there are many doors, and one right underneath) and a floor up may not have helped I would have had the cars on ground level and travelling up,but I'm just a dreamer without the money to spend.Talking of money it was only £1 to ride and a good length with a pre ride section, one of the best Ghost trains in an amusements I can think of.(The one in the new pier Weston-super-mare isn't very good) so I dream of my own mega Ghost train,as the real ones end up only in my dreams too :(

An anonymous email to themagiceye saying it's gone and watch out for pirates??!!??

Not sure whether he / she meant it was closed and there will be some sort of 'zap them pirates' ride in its place or he / she meant it's gone and there are some pirates after me.. :)

The Ghost Train in Coral Island has now been refurbished and re-themed into a Pirate interactive shooting ride; Pirates Quest. It uses the same track as the Ghost Train but with different theming.

I found a video of the ride on Theme Park Worldwide's Youtube

I must say it looks much better than it did and the price increase isn't bad haha at £2! - I will try it out in the summer :)

Coral Island's gaming Casino is already up and running (opened last week). I was told by an arcade cashier last month that the Ghost Train was being refurbished. I didn't see today if it was open...

Coral Island arcade is literally at the end of my road! Just a very short walk away.
