A general overview of the work so far...I have spent the last day working on an accurate representation of the Scenic. It's not finished yet, but it already adds so much to the realism of the site.

I need a bit of help from the historians out there. On the map above which is circa 1955 (click for a larger version) there are recorded as being two buildings, one in the north of the gardens and one in the middle of the gardens. I assume the lower one is 'Sleeping Beauty Castle' and the upper is the 'Garden Cafe'? Are these presumptions correct or can someone advise me otherwise?

Makes a change from the concrete flat of recent years! It's interesting for someone who wasn't born when the line was around to see the similaries and differences that exist between then and now!

A rather peculiar piece of rolling stock which appeared on the DMR towards the end of the railway's life. The great thing about simulators is that impossible things happen - in this case, the 'new' Jacot brake van running with an original BL 4 wheel coach.

This piece of stock will be included as part of the pack along with the re-bodied versions of the BL 4 wheel coaches.

A view from the West over the rapidly approaching completion gardens and the wider park - just through the Scenic Railway frame you can also make out several buses in the park car park. These are based on prototypes from the era that the park is set in to maintain accuracy. More rides and a bit of filling in around the front of the park (out of shot) and it should be ready to go). I am contemplating also including the rebodied versions of the 4-Wheel coaches which appear in most of these screenshots. Would people be interested in these?

I am interested in this project on two levels, firstly I like to play trains but secondly looking at that shot that Ben has posted, isn't it amazing what could be done with the space other than just dumping tarmac on it.

Now that the railway itself is virtually complete, I have started to add in the fairground rides themselves. Shown in this picture is the boat ride, the octopus, the caterpillar, the tumble bugs and the snail haunted house.

The second DMR steam locomotive 'Prince Edward of Wales' - The model is by Tim Elsby and the skin (textures) is by myself.

I have also just received confirmation from Reg Furniss that I can use track pieces he created in the pack - we are very nearly good to go!

Hello,

I am currently working through the final stages of preparing the route for release. Although on paper the easiest bit, as many of you will know, the end is also the most time consuming bit of any project. I have got a day tomorrow when I am planning to work on it and will hopefully have it ready by the weekend.
