An Ice Skating Rink in Thanet.

Postby Vince, Charlie and Sam » 26 Nov 2009, 18:54

There's a Facebook group dedicated to getting an ice skating rink in Thanet, it's at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=inf ... 1417432309 and has around 2,500 supporters.

Some have suggested Dreamland as an ideal location, anyone have any thoughts on this?

There was a skating rink at Dreamland in the 1970s but I believe the surface was plastic, rather than ice.

Us "oldies" remember back to when there was a roller skating rink - if I remember correctly it survived until the mid 1960's
